The Verizon Business Finance Organization is looking for a dynamic individual to join the Sales Compensation team. The team is responsible for providing decision support to the South area Business Markets leadership team on distribution compensation matters. Our mission is to return shareholder value, achieve profitable growth through effectively designed and managed compensation systems, and maintain a performance based culture.
As the Finance Manager you will manage the analytics and operational processes around sales compensation, including training, communication, quota development, and sales incentives. You will build relationships and partner with sales, marketing and leadership teams to align compensation with company revenue and growth objectives is a critical focus.
As a Finance Manager within the Quota and Commissions Finance team, you will: Leverage your knowledge of products, pricing, promotions and growth initiatives to lead setting of sales quotas. Manage modeling and reporting to provide guidance to South area leadership to make informed business decisions, monitor results of strategies, and recommend alternative courses of action, where appropriate. Incorporate results of studies and analysis into executive presentations and reporting. Lead operational support processes, including training, communication, and quota development. Analyze proposals for sales and marketing programs. Provide guidance on targets and expectations for return on investment, and determine system capabilities to support the programs. Deliver monthly financial presentation with highlights of drivers to overall commission expense. Explain underlying causes for variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods. Research and resolve concerns related to compensation payouts. Elevate issues to review board, where necessary. Consistently evaluate processes and guidelines to gain efficiencies.
What were looking for...
Youll need to have: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other business field or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant work experience. Project management experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Even better if you have: A Masters in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business field. A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA). Quota and Commissions experience. Familiarity with the wireless Area and Market structure. Communicated financial data to sales professionals and executive levels. Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with evolving priorities and critical deadlines. A high degree of analytical capability with the demonstrated ability to structure business case around a high-level strategic vision. Strong strategic skills, with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications, and recommendations. An advanced understanding of reporting & analysis and costing / profitability methodologies and processes. Proficiency in Essbase, cubes or Tableau. Demonstrated strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
