Title: Deli ManagerDepartment: Deli (Appy)Supervised by: Perishable Manager, Store Manager, Deli SpecialistJob Summary:To effectively direct and supervise and perform all function and activities of the Appetizing and Food Service Departments to achieve the sales and profit goals established for the departments.Performs the hiring and terminating for the departmentsMinimum Required Qualifications:The minimum required qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Ability to read, write and speak English.Ability to perform basic Math skills.Ability to understand and follow directions as given.Ability to do the job while standing.Ability to bend and reach.Ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.Ability to operate a Telxon.Ability to work in cold temperatures in freezer for short periods of time.Ability to push/pull 4-wheel equipment loaded with product.Duties and Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Ensures that departments are maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress code: enforce grooming standards throughout the departments.Ensures that operating hours are being scheduled to the needs of the business.Ensures the adherence of all local, state and federal health and civil code regulations.Ensures the execution of company standards are being followed at all locations.Ensure and coach associates so that the GP%, shrink, profitability and inventory levels are being met at all locations.Ensures that the weekly merchandising plan is being executed.Ensures that all Quality Assurance standards are being followed as well as all checklists and logs.Works with all management to assist the department managers as needed.Ensures that ready for business standards and guidelines are executed at all locations.Assist in training and development of all department staffEnsure that Customer Service Standards are exceptionalEnsure that all safety and compliance standards are being followed at all timesNOTE: ASSOCIATES MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER TO OPERATE BAILERS, HI-LOS, POWER JACKS & SLICING MACHINES.Important Disclaimer NoticeThe above statements are only intended to represent the essential job functions and general nature of the work being performed and are not exhaustive of the tasks that an Associate may be required to perform.
